Former Isidingo star Lesego Motsepe has died.
Motsepe, who was popularly known for her role as Letti Matabane in SA soap Isidingo, was found dead by her brother Moemise Motsepe, at her home in Randburg on Monday morning January 20 2014.
“Today we are heartbroken to share the news that Lesego Motsepe has passed away in her home in Randburg. She was found dead at about 11 o’clock this morning,” a statement issued on behalf of Lesego’s family said.
“The paramedics confirmed her death as of natural causes at about 13.00 this afternoon.”
In 2011 on World Aids Day, the 39-year-old actress publicly announced that she had been living with HIV since 1998.
“Lesego was a loving daughter, sister, a motivational speaker and friend. She had drawn her inspiration from different people and situations to be the person she was – and these included a tea lady, a petrol attendant, an 89-year old granny and many other people influenced the person she became,” her family said in a statement.
