Former Governor of Plateau State, Chief Michael Botmang dies at age 76.
Botmang died in the early hours of Saturday January 18th 2014 in his hometown of Zawan, Jos South Local Government Area of the state.
Botmang was two-term deputy to Chief Joshua Dariye from 1999 to 2007. He became acting governor from November 13th 2006 to April 27th 2007.
This was when the then governor, Joshua Dariye, was impeached by six out of the 24 members of the State House of Assembly and later reinstated by the Supreme Court.
Botmang died from complications arising from diabetes.
