A banker identified as Segun Ajisebutu, was on Tuesday, May 2, 2015 crushed to death by a BRT bus as he tried to cross the lane at Palmgrove Bus-stop, Lagos State.
Ajisebutu who was corporately dressed reportedly died on the spot around 6 am while he was going to his office.
A traffic jam ensued immediately after the accident on the BRT lane and lasted for hours until the arrival of law enforcement agents who restored normalcy.
The victim’s lifeless remains was kept on the service lane before some persons checked through some documents on him an identified him.
One of his relatives was said to have contacted other family members after he leearnt of the tragedy over the radio.
Speaking about the tragedy that has befallen the family, the deceased relative who identified himself only as Lekan, said, “He was a promising guy and I spoke with him on phone last Sunday when he gave me an assignment to be collected on Friday. It was sad to hear the announcement of his death on radio this morning (yesterday),”
The deceased was a father of two from Ondo State, was said to be in his early 30s when he met his untimely death and the body had been deposited in a morgue, Vanguard reports.
