The wife of a Russian soldier has been reportedly recorded telling him to rape Ukrainian women during a sickening phone call on the front line.
Earlier this week, a disturbing clip of an intercepted call emerged where a woman was heard telling her husband he can rape women as long as he “uses protection” and doesn’t tell her about it when he gets home.
The horrifying call was intercepted by Ukrainian security services, SBU, in Kyiv and posted on its Telegram channel on Tuesday.
“Wives of Russian aggressors call on their husbands to rape Ukrainian women,” the agency wrote on Telegram alongside the 30-second audio.
“This shocking interception by the SBU reflects the moral values not only of the occupiers but also of their relatives, 80% of whom now support the war in Ukraine,” the agency claimed.
And now the pair have been identified by Radio Liberty as Roman Bykovsky and his wife Olga Bykovskaya.
In the short audio clip, a woman’s voice is heard saying: “So yeah, do it over there. Ukrainian woman there. Rape them.”
She laughs before adding: “Don’t tell me anything, understand.”
A man on the other end of the call replies: “So I should rape and not tell you anything?”
The woman responds: “Yes so that I wouldn’t know anything,” before both start laughing.
She then adds: “Just use protection,” before the man replies again: “OK.”
An investigation by the outlet, alongside authorities in Ukraine, found the phones used in the call.
The investigators managed to link the two numbers to the accounts of 27-year-old Roman Bykovsky and Olga Bykovskaya, both from Orel.
The journalists were able to find Roman through a photo that was posted on social media by a friend with whom he had served in the same army division back in 2016.
The investigators eventually found more pictures of Roman and established he was a soldier of the 108th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment, which participated in the annexation of Crimea
The couple who have a four-year-old son moved to the region in 2018.
The outlet reports that journalists attempted to contact the pair multiple times.
Roman reportedly answered and denied he was still in Kherson before stating he was not the person in the audio clip.
His wife also answered and confirmed her husband was in Sevastopol being treated in the hospital.
She then proceeded to delete her social media account.
Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky accused Putin’s forces of carrying out “hundreds of rapes” including horrific sexual assaults against small children.
Last weekend, a Russian soldier was arrested after allegedly filming himself raping a baby in Ukraine before sending the video to a fellow reporter.
Alexei Bychkov, 24, was detained in Russia on Saturday, April 16, 2022, after the vile clip emerged on social media over the weekend.
The day before, a threat about Bychkov was published on Twitter detailing the horror abuse.
In the footage, he is reported to say he is recording a “fierce video” before assaulting the baby.
It isn’t known exactly when and where the footage was filmed.
n another horrendous act, an 11-year-old Ukrainian boy was raped by Russian troops in front of his horrified mother as she was tied to a chair and forced to watch.
Ukraine’s Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova said Russian troops raped the boy in the town of Bucha.
She said five soldiers also sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, who had become pregnant.
On April 8, Denisova said Russian soldiers had kidnapped more than 120,000 Ukrainian children.
“There is no place on earth or in hell where racist criminals can hide from retribution!” Denisova wrote as she evoked Article 27 of the 1949 Geneva Convention, which protects civilians from persecution during war.
“The occupiers must bear the strictest responsibility!”
She said that 25 girls and women aged 14 to 25 were “systematically” raped in Bucha while being held captive in a basement.
At least nine of them are now pregnant.
Denisova said: “Russian soldiers told them they would rape them to the point where they wouldn’t want sexual contact with any man, to prevent them from having Ukrainian children.”
Last week, Ukrainian official Oleksandr Vilkul claimed a 16-year-old girl and 78-year-old woman had been raped in eastern Ukraine near the Ingulets river.
“There is news that makes my blood run cold in my veins,” said Vilkul, the head of the military administration of Kryvyi Rih, in a video posted on Facebook.
“While rebuilding a peaceful life in the villages liberated in the Kherson region, a task we are currently working on, we are confronted with more and more horror stories.
“For example, the rape of a 16-year-old pregnant girl and a 78-year-old grandmother in one of the villages towards Ingulets.”
Reports of Russian sex crimes against Ukrainian women filtered out as early as last month, after two of Putin’s soldiers were accused of killing a man before raping his wife in front of their child.
Prosecutor general Iryna Venediktova said one of the Russian troops gunned down the dad after storming the house in a village near Kyiv before the pair of them brutally attacked his wife.
She said the two savages “repeatedly” raped the woman in the horror assault – and “threatened her with violence and weapons”.
Ms Venediktova alleged the vile soldiers even threatened her child who was in the house at the time – and claimed one of the men was drunk.
She said one of the troops has been identified by the police and is now wanted, Kyiv Independent reports.
His identity has not been made public – and it is understood the other suspect has not yet been identified.
She said in a statement on her official Facebook page: “Let’s find every villain and make them accountable through the strictness of the law.”
Moscow has denied the claims of sex crimes against people in Ukraine.
President Zelensky told Lithuania’s parliament on Wednesday: “Hundreds of cases of rape have been recorded, including those of young girls and very young children. Even of a baby!”
A Ukrainian rights group has told the UN that the Kremlin is using rape as a weapon of war.
Kateryna Cherepakha, president of La Strada Ukraine, said her organisation had received calls accusing Russian troops of nine cases of rape involving 12 women and girls.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” she told the UN.
“We know and see – and we want you to hear our voices – that violence and rape is used now as a weapon of war by Russian invaders in Ukraine.”
