Following Manchester United’s persistent clamour for Cristiano Ronaldo, his agent, Jorge mandes has revealed that his Clients will retire at Real Madrid. He advised the England side to forget the idea of buying him back to Old Trafford.
It was revealed that Manchester felt they could take advantage of the rift between Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez during the summer transfer and felt it was a right time for them to make the move.
Reports hold that the move would have been possible had relations between the two deteriorated further then it would have been possible that Ronaldo might have considered the move as the player himself had already spoken out against Perez’s activity in the summer transfer window.
Ronaldo was not pleased with Perez as he sold out Angel Di Maria and Alonso at the beginning of the season
However, Mendes has made it known that Ronaldo could continue at Real Madrid until he is 40 years old and will continue to break record after record. He said that Ronaldo is very happy in Madrid and it might be impossible for any club to buy him over.
“You’ll never find one like him. He’s getting better and will be getting better until age 40. Cristiano is very happy at Real Madrid and has always been happy. He’s going to break all the records that can be beat at the white club and will retire here.
When Mendes was asked about Ronaldo’s confession of having Manchester United at heart he said,
“He has the love of Manchester United because his heart was there for six years, but now he just thinks of Real Madrid and will always be here.”
