The former world’s fattest man, who at one point weighed 560kg (87st 12lb), has died aged 48.
Manuel Uribe, from Mexico, had been transferred to a hospital earlier this month with heart problems.
His passing was confirmed by a health official from Nuevo Leon state, where the city of Monterrey is located.

Mr Uribe had slimmed down to about 61 stone 13lb (394 kilograms) after being named the world’s heaviest human being in 2006. He also got married in 2008.
Doctors have not released his exact cause of death.
