Veteran Nollywood producer, and a pioneer of the industry, Pa Francis Oladele, has died at the age of 82.
Pa Oladele, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, in his hometown in Oyo State after a brief illness.
He produced the first indigenous film in Nigeria, a screen adaptation of Prof. Wole Soyinka‘s play titled Kongi’s Harvest, in 1969.
Also the pioneer African Head of the Film Unit of the defunct Western Nigeria Television in Ibadan.
He was a photo-journalist with Daily Times of Nigeria and was popular for his column ‘Social Diary.’
