Zamfara State government on Thursday, August 6, 2015 announced the death of Alhaji Dahiru Zubairu, the newly appointed Chief of Staff to Governor Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi, in state capital, Gusau.
The statement disclosed that the 49-year-old Zubairu, who had a wife and four children, died on the night of Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his residence in Kaduna State after a brief illness.
Zubauru was a member of the House of Representatives who represented Birnin-Magaji/Kaura-Namoda constituency between 2003 and 2011.
The deceased also served as the National Vice-Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) during his tenure as the chairman of Birnin-Magaji Local Government Area between 1999 and 2002.
