America’s Next Top Model contestant, Mirjana Puhar was one of three people murdered on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in her boyfriend’s house on Norris Avenue, Charlotte.
Their bodies were discovered by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department after receiving an emergency call from of the neighbors. Others found dead are Jonathan Cosme Alvarado, 23, and Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, 21.
The 19-year-old model had been one of the contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” Season 21 which is the most recent season of the popular reality TV show hosted by supermodel, Tyra Banks.
Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 19, was identified as a suspect in the murder, brought into police custody and charged with three counts of first-degree homicide.
During a press release, police revealed that it was not a random act of violence, but the victims and Rangel knew each other and the “incident was drug related.”
Rangel is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
