Reps Praise President Jonathan, Military For Recent Victories Over Boko Haram

The Nigerian House of Representatives on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 applauded President Goodluck Jonathan and the Nigerian military for their recent efforts which has seen the recapture of several towns previously held by insurgent group, Boko Haram and recovery of armoury.

A house member representing Monguno in Borno State, Monguno Mohammed moved a motion hailing President Jonathan and the military for the efforts in curbing the advances of the Islamist sect.

The motion was seconded by Herma Hember from Benue State.

Also speaking were House Leader, Leo Ogor of Delta State who appreciated the Nigerian troops for doing well and Abubakar Momoh, from Iako West in Edo State who said: ”We commend the military and the commander-in-chief for making the victory against Boko Haram possible. ‎I am sure before the elections that there will be no state under Boko Haram.”
