#SoundOff: Reno Omokri’s Online Mojo, Native Medicine After Death

Must read

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]very week, I read Reno Omokri’s fierce political posts and I can’t help asking myself, “Where was Reno when Goodluck Jonathan’s government was under continuous cyber bombardment by the El Rufai sponsored “situation room” led by Japheth Omojuwa and others?”

So, I throw the question open now. Reno, where were you between 2011 and 2015? How come I can’t remember reading more than a handful of articles from you defending your boss in 4 years?

Someone ought to ask Reno Omokri what he was doing as the president’s special assistant on new media.

We read at least once a month from Reuben Abati, Jonathan’s senior special adviser on media and publicity. Though his articles talked mostly about the president’s activities and diplomatic guests and certainly weren’t the stuff of online wars. But, what did Reno do? Almost nothing!

I find it funny that Reno found a way to find his computer mouse after his principle’s government collapsed largely because of a communications failure from a team of which he played a central role.

How come Omokri suddenly turned himself into an online rhinoceros with a bad case of hemorrhoids and he is breathing fire and brimstone on the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, a party that wouldn’t have been in power if he had done his job for his erstwhile boss well.

I certainly wish he had been this outspoken when he worked in Aso Rock serving a president that polls say was well loved by the Nigerian people. It is tragic that most people appointed to serve in high office, often fall for the seduction of power and fail woefully at their jobs.

Is Reno’s new found online activism not native medicine after death?

‘Certainly is!
