The South African national who was kept in isolation over fears that she might be infected with the Ebola virus has been discharged after her test results came back negative, the minister of health, Onyebuchi Chukwu has announced.
Folswe Elizabeth Maria had earlier shown symptoms similar to that of the virus and was quarantined on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.
Onyebuchi’s special assistant on media, Dan Nwomeh, said in a press statement that the South African’s result came out negative, but stated that she will still be examined for any other infection.
