As the general election draws closer, several allegations have been thrown up from some quarters, alleging that the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) scheduled to be used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the election are being sold in some states, with Lagos being touted as one of the states where such is done.
Although INEC has stated time and again that a PVC can only be utilized by its owner, the allegations of PVC sales have continued to be louder with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) accusing each other in engaging in the act.
A recent photograph which found its way online is giving credence at a shot, said to be located at Demurin Street, Ketu, Lagos State has an inscription which says: PVC for sale.
It is yet to be known if PVCs are truly sold there.
