Following a week of uncertainty over President Muhammadu Buhari’s state of health, the presidency has released photos of the president receiving a “briefing from Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire and DG NCDC Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu in State House on Sat. 28th March 2020,” according to his spokesperson, Femi Adesina.
The photos show the president in the residential quarters of the Presidential Villa in Abuja and the government officials wearing face masks and practicing “social distancing”.
The presidency was silent on the content of the conversations between the president and the health officials.
The Twitter Battle
Nigerians experienced an eventful day on Twitter when a globally renowned Muslim cleric, Imam Tawhidi accused Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari of supporting terrorism and doing little to protect Christians who are being massacred by Islamist militants in the country.
Tawhidi, a peace advocate and author, began a Twitter storm on Friday, March 27, 2020 when he wrote, “Islamists in Nigeria are destroying Christian communities. Weak leadership of Buhari. Failed President. No realistic agenda to tackle Jihadists. All talk.”

“President Buhari and his cult are coming after me instead of going after Boko Haram. This shows you the real agenda of #PresidentCovik and the Covik cult,” the Australian cleric wrote after Buhari’s aides attacked his comments on the social media platform.
How It Began
Muslim influencer Mohammad Tawhidi popularly known as ‘Imam of Peace’ has called Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari an enabler of terrorism in Nigeria.
In a set of tweets on Friday, the Imam, known for his sometimes controversial tweets, took President Buhari to the cleaners, berating his response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Bashir Ahmad, President Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media tweeted in reaction to the Imam’s tweets which have caused a meltdown on Nigerian social media. His tweet immediately received a response from Tawhidi.
For those who are asking me to respond to @imamofpeace tweets, the guy lacks courage, he is no different from the usual coward, he has blocked me, so I won’t be able to see the nonsense he has been tweeting, those of you following him, kindly remind him of who he is, the COWARD!

#PresidentCovik and ‘Imam’ began to trend at number 1 and number 2, respectively, on Nigerian Twitter with hundreds of reactions and comments pouring in from Nigerians.
Is this guy working for the Punch.
Which one is "Dictator Buhari" again, how would the Presidency react to this now?
Can they send DSS to him? This is a treasonable offense.
He's planning on how to unseat the President.
Our joke has gone global.

Bros leave this style you want to use, it will not work.
The Imam is saying the truth.
If our President was doing well @Imamofpeace would have had nothing to say.
A President that avoided Presidential debate?
His flaws are too many.
Don't bother defending him. https://t.co/dtPwsOlrzR— Yul Edochie (@YulEdochie) March 27, 2020
