Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe on Thursday, February 5, 2015 fell down from a flight of stairs upon his return from an African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa where he was election as Chairman of the continental union.
President Mugabe, who will turn 91 on Saturday, February 21, 2015 was helped to his feet and into a parked limousine by security details, who later attempted to confiscate photos and tapes of the incident.
Some journalists who spoke to Associated Press affirmed that security personnel forced them to delete pictures of the scene.
Their efforts proved to be fortuitous as video clips and pictures of the incident have surfaced online.
