President Goodluck Jonathan and members of his family have begun taking their belongings out of the Presidential Villa, Abuja just days after the incumbent President lost his re-election bid to General Muhammadu Buhari, Punch reports.
According to the report, some buses were seen being loaded with bags, taken out of the Presidents official residence on Friday, April 3, 2015, although the destination of the vehicles remains unknown.
A source at the Villa availed that the removal of personal effects might be done in order for renovation of the residence to commence ahead of the Friday, May 29, 2015 handover date, adding that President Jonathan might have to be operating from outside the residence in coming days.
