President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday, February 20, 2015 held a closed-door meeting with traditional rulers in Ogun State.
The meeting which was held inside one of the offices of the newly-commissioned Olorunsogo II Power Station had about 20 traditional rulers in attendance who were led by Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland who serves as Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Traditional Rulers.
Other notable kings at the meeting were the Akarigbo of Remo, Oba Michael Sonariwo; and the Olowu of Owu, Oba Dosunmu.
Although journalists were barred from the meeting, it is believed that the meeting is in continuation of consultations with South West stakeholders ahead of the Saturday, March 28, 2015 presidential election.
Upon emergence from the meeting, President Jonathan posed for photographs with the royal fathers.
None of those present at the meeting spoke to newsmen.
