The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the presidential election held in Nasarawa State.
Making the announcement of the results was the returning officer of the state, Abdulmumin Hassan Rafindadi who availed that President Jonathan polled 273,460 votes, beating General Buhari who had 236,838 votes.
Nasarawa State is governed by Governor Tanko Al-Makura of the APC.
