Must read

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 condemned in no uncertain terms the recent tactic employed by Boko Haram insurgents to callously bomb soft targets in certain parts of the country, considering the massive recovery of swaths of land formerly occupied by the terrorists by gallant Nigerian troops and the multinational joint task force.

Speaking via a statement signed by his Special Adviser om Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, President Jonathan sent his condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in separate bomb attacks on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Kano and Potiskum, Yobe State.

President Jonathan said he was extremely saddened by the loss of innocent lives occasioned by the desperate antics of the insurgents who were feeling the brunt of the war against terror.

While assuring Nigerians in the North Eastern part of the country that the war against terror would soon be over, President Jonathan said the tide would continue to turn against the insurgents as new platforms, equipment and logistics have been made available by the Federal Government which will ensure that the operation against the terrorist comes to a successful end as soon as possible.

H also pledged that his administration would take all necessary steps to reduce the ability of the Boko Haram sect to hold any territory, recruit, brainwash and groom young Nigerians to participate in the suicide bombing on “soft targets”
