President Jonathan Beats General Buhari In Akwa Ibom By Landslide

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, President Goodlcuk Jonathan defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer, General Muhammadu Buhari in the Saturday, March 28, 2015 presidential election held in Akwa Ibom State.

According to the Returning Officer, Professor Ekpoke, who spoke at the INEC Conference Center in Uyo,  the figures for the election are as follows:

Total number of registered voters in the state as 1,644,481

Accredited voters – 1,074,070.

Valid Votes – 1,027,064

Void votes – 11,487

Political parties and the votes cast were given as:

AA – 1,600

AD – 443

ACPN- 474

ADC- 608

APA- 384

APC- 58,411

CPP- 412

HDP- 194

KOWA- 160

NCP- 381

PDP- 953,304

PDM-327

UDP- 224

UPP-144.
