President Jonathan Assures Kano Of Enhanced Security In The Wake Of College Of Education Attack

President Goodluck Jonathan has sent his felicitations to the people of Kano state following the terrorists attack on the Federal College of Education, Kano, suspected to have been carried out by Boko Haram which resulted in the loss of several lives.

President Jonathan, via a press statement signed by his special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Reuben Abati and dated Wednesday, September 17, 2014 expressed his sympathies, wishing those who sustain various degrees of injuries speedy recovery.

He commended police officers who stepped in and took control of the situation to minimize the level of damage done, appealing to them to be more awake to avert future attacks in Kano and other parts of the country.

He reiterated his administrations resolve to enhance the ability of all security agents to undertake the war against terrorism successfully to provide better security across the country.

President Jonathan reassures the people of Kano and all Nigerians that the Federal Government continues to do all within its powers to further enhance the ability of the Police, Armed Forces and other security agencies to prosecute the war against terrorism to a successful conclusion and provide greater security of lives and property across the country.
