ABUJA, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. for a brief working visit.
According to a statement from Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, the visit is part of ongoing efforts to assess the administration’s progress and plan for the future.
During this visit, Tinubu will review his administration’s achievements so far, with a particular focus on appraising the midterm performance and evaluating key milestones.
The president will also engage in strategic planning, focusing on ongoing reforms and setting priorities for the second year of his tenure.
The visit comes at a time when the administration has made significant strides in economic reforms.
The Central Bank of Nigeria recently reported a remarkable increase in the country’s net foreign exchange reserves, which have surged to $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023.
This increase is a testament to the fiscal reforms carried out by the government since Tinubu’s assumption of office.
While in Paris, President Tinubu will remain actively engaged with his cabinet and continue to oversee governance activities remotely.
He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
This marks the latest of several visits President Tinubu has made to France since his inauguration.
His previous visits included both private and state engagements aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.
