A pregnant woman, Omowunmi Joseph has stabbed her husband, Joseph Nwankwo to death in his sleep over his plan to marry a second wife.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Monday, April 2, 2022, at about 2 am in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
A crisis started between the two about two weeks ago when the husband told his wife that he wanted to marry a second wife from his home town.
According to our source, after committing the crime, Omowunmi reported herself to the Iyaganku police area command and the command took her to the Yemetu police division, close to the scene of the incident.
Our correspondent who visited the Yemetu police station on Monday morning learnt that the remains of the husband had been deposited in a morgue.
Meanwhile, a police officer attached to the Operations Department, Eleyele police command, Ibadan, Michael Ogunlade, on Sunday, died while having sexual intercourse with his lover at a Hotel.
A source in the hotel informed our correspondent that he met the two lovers on the staircase while they were going into a room, and that a few minutes later the woman rushed down and started crying, that the man was dead.
The source said, “We quickly informed the police at the Iyaganku police division and they rushed to the scene, but before they took him to a nearby hospital, he had given up the ghost.”
