On biggest surprise of pregnancy
The whole thing, really, has been surprising and new! It’s such a change physically, mentally, and in terms of lifestyle, that I definitely didn’t know what to expect going into it. I have friends who are moms, and you hear stories and stuff, but it’s never the same until you actually experience it yourself. So I think everything has pretty much surprised me.
On keeping to a diet
I’ve been really conscious to make sure that, nutritionally, I’m giving the baby everything that it needs: vegetables and vitamins and all sorts of stuff. I’ve found, like, the best supplements and all of that… but I definitely have my vices, And it’s nice to be able to indulge in them for once. I’m paying the price, but it’s nice!
On what should be more pronounced about pregnancy
There’s a lot, physically, that changes with your body when you’re pregnant, and I guess no one could’ve warned me about that stuff. But being in the public eye when you’re pregnant is really, really hard, and people can be so mean on the Internet, it’s insane. Pregnancy is such a beautiful time to me, and I feel like you should embrace your body in whatever stage it’s in. So it’s kind of hard being an actress, being a celebrity, and having people scrutinize how you physically look, and just saying the craziest things.
