OXFORD, UK – Chude Jideonwo, the founder of Joy, Inc. and host of #WithChude, has been announced as one of the distinguished speakers at the upcoming 2023 Oxford Africa Conference.
Jideonwo will join a lineup of notable figures such as Sir Mo Ibrahim, Vice President of Liberia Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, and Abdul Samad Rabiu to discuss “Leveraging Africa’s soft power.”
The Oxford Africa Conference, taking place from Friday, May 12th, to Saturday, May 13th, 2023, is a highly influential event and has been one of the largest Africa-focused conferences in Europe for the last decade.
Organised by The Oxford University Africa Society (AfriSoc), the conference aims to address the prosperity paradox and construct a new framework for generating prosperity from Africa’s multi-sectoral challenges.
This year’s theme, “Africa’s Prosperity: A New Approach?” seeks to engage attendees in critical discussions about the continent’s future.
Past conferences have hosted prominent speakers such as Dr. Donald Kaberuka, the 7th President of the African Development Bank, Amina Mohammed, the current UN Deputy Secretary-General, and Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana.
“We are delighted to have Chude Jideonwo and other esteemed speakers joining us for the 2023 Oxford Africa Conference,” said an AfriSoc representative. “Their unique perspectives and experiences will undoubtedly contribute to a richer dialogue on reimagining Africa’s prosperity.”
