The management of embattled singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, has spoken out for the first time since the self-proclaimed “wahala musician” was detained by the police.
Recall that the controversial singer was taken into custody at the Ogun State Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, on Friday, March 31, 2023, over alleged assault, after the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum.
In a post shared on the Zazoo crooner’s Instagram page on Friday, his management explained that Portable wasn’t arrested, adding that he reported himself to the station.
It urged his fans and the public to remain calm, stressing that it was confident in the police.
“Remain calm as everything is under control. We are writing this for those reaching out to us. Portable was not arrested, he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police,” the statement partly read.
The management appreciated those who reached out to them for their concerns.
I am sure u are very awake as i have addressed MCs case, but portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a police man. He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in otta, who fired a petition to CP Ogun. https://t.co/E0J7ASroLj
