Senator Theodore Orji, erstwhile governor of Abia State, has weighed in on the Tuesday, June 9, 2015 victory of Senator Bukola as Senate President.
Orji says it is proof that politics is not war but all about negotiation. He spoke to newsmen in Abuja after the adjournment of the first session of the 8th Senate.
Orji said that the PDP Senators, who effectively decided who became Senate President and Deputy Senate President looked beyond the political party and rather at the personality and qualities of the Saraki.
“What has happened today has shown us that politics is all about negotiation. It is not war always. When you negotiate, you give and take and things will work out well for us,” Orji said.
He also said that Saraki would stabilise the Senate and if the Senate is stabilised, the entire country would be stabilised.
