Police Commissioner Orders Tight Security For Children’s Day

The Abuja Commissioner of Police, Mr Wilson Inalegwu, has directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the territory to beef up security around recreational centres ahead of Wednesday, May 27, 2015 Children’s Day celebration.

This is contained in a statement signed by the police spokesman, ASP Anjuguri Manzah on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

Inalegwu instructed the officers to ensure a bottle neck security at parks and spots where the children would gather to mark the annual celebration in order to make it a memorable one.

According to the statement, the command had identified spots that would be center of attraction for adequate provision of security.

It assured that both uniformed and plain clothes police operatives would be deployed to the identified spots for seamless celebration of the event.
