Police officers arrested an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Alao Mutiu Kolawole who tore results of the governorship election held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Gbongan in Ayedaade LGA.
The suspect reportedly told the police that he was sent by his superior officers in INEC to tear off the results.
The news of Mr. Mutiu’s arrest made a big splash as the results of the election were being released by the electoral body. But, it looks now like the matter has been swept under the carpet.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been tweeting to alert Nigerians on the reduction of its votes in Ayedaade LGA by 1000.
