Six suspects were on Monday, May 25, 2015 arrested by police officials in Kano State in connection with the stabbing of two pupils of Fagge Special Primary school on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Majiya during a press brief on its activities.
According to him, the suspects who are now helping the police in investigation, were apprehended last week following a tip-off.
The police spokesperson further assured that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation into the matter is concluded.
He further disclosed that one of the victims was still receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Furthermore, Majiya disclosed that the police had arrested a staff of the state Fire Service for allegedly conniving with a colleague to kidnap and rape an eight-year-old girl.
‘’The suspects later called her parents to demand for N1million ransom before she could be released.
‘’The girl has since been treated at the hospital and reunited with her parents while effort was still being made to track down the fleeing suspect,’’ Majiya said.
Similarly, he said the police had arrested a woman who stole a baby at Gwarzo General Hospital on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
Also, the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is over.
