A Police patrol team from the “A” Division in Asaba, Delta State on routine stop and search duty have recovered seven hundred and fifty (750) rounds of live cartridges from a twenty-eight-year-old passenger in a commercial bus, Ogor Mokwe along Nnebisi road Asaba.
The suspect who hails from Ajaji Village in Illah is currently cooling off in a Police cell.
He was arrested after a search was conducted on a commercial bus coming from Onitsha axis that was intercepted by the Police.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Mohammed Ali confirmed the report at a press briefing held in Asaba.
The Police boss said, “Upon search, seven hundred and fifty (750) rounds of live cartridges were recovered from one of the passengers named Ogor Mokwe ‘m’ age 28 Years from Ajaji Village Illah.”
While noting that the suspect was arrested, CP Ali said an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
