Operatives of the Puff Ader tactical unit in Rivers State Police Command have arrested two boys aged 16 and 19 of the same parents for allegedly defiling two-year-old twins in Port Harcourt.
Achinihu Clement, the mother of the twins, who made the disclosure on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, called for justice to be served.
Clement explained that while dressing her son on the 10th of January, she noticed he could not sit properly.
Upon interrogation, the baby said the 16-year-old brother-in-law who lives with her was the person who touched his anus.
Mrs Clement said she immediately took the boy and his twin sister to the hospital for examination.
It was at the hospital she discovered that the hymen of the daughter had been broken.
“Three doctors and two nurses asked the girl by themselves who touched her bum and she mentioned the 19-year-old,” Mrs Clement said.
“That was when I broke into tears that my innocent children have been violated. so I had to report the matter to operation Puff Ader tactical unit. Now that they have been re-arrested I am happy because I want justice to be done.”
Meanwhile, a rights group, the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign disclosed that it will ensure that it follows the matter to a conclusion while thanking the River State Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday for ensuring the re-arrest of the suspects.
