The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stormed Benin City, the Edo State capital on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 for their Presidential Campaign Rally.
The people of Edo State welcomed the President of Nigeria and PDP presidential candidate, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and his running mate, Vice President Namadi Sambo to the state. The First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan was also live in Benin.
The President and his entourage were received at the Benin airport by the Esama of Benin, Chief Lucky Gabriel Igbinedion and other leaders of the party. The entourage then paid a visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin. They were given a very warm reception and the Iyase of Benin presenting a gift to President Jonathan.
