Manchester City’s summer signing, Kevin De Bruyne scored the winner for his club in a champions league group match against Sevilla on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.
The score of the Group D match which was played at the Etihad Stadium was 1-1 in stoppage time before De Bruyne fired in a low left-footed shot which clinched all three points for City. Manchester city are now second in the group; just one point behind last year’s finalist, Juventus.
Pablo Zabaleta spoke about his Belgian club mate after the game and was full of praise for the 24-year-old.
“He’s doing really well. I’m very pleased for him because I think his performances week-in, week-out are brilliant.
“He’s one of those players who has really improved the team – a fantastic signing.
“He knows he’s doing very well but he keeps his feet on the ground and just keeps working hard to give his best for the team.
“I’m very impressed with his performances in this period of the season so hopefully he can continue that,” the 30-year-old Argentine said.
In the same vein, Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini praised De Bruyne as the perfect signing for the club.
“We bought Kevin because we knew is a very creative player who can score and create goals and in that respect he was the perfect player to bring to our club,” the 62-year-old Chilean said.
