Five legislators, Tuesday, February 11 2014, defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the House of Representatives and moved to to the ruling Peoples Democratic party (PDP).
Though one member of the House shifted base from the PDP to the APC, this development puts the PDP ahead with 178 representatives in the House.
APC’s strength has been further weakened from 172 to 168.
The legislators who left APC to PDP include Lawal Shehu Bichi (Kano), Abdulsalam Adamu, (Kano), Sani Umar Dangaladima (Zamfara), Umar Mohammed Bature (Sokoto), and Ibrahim Shehu Gusau (Zamfara).
