The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday, January 29, 2015 lifted the suspension handed to its former National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur about five weeks ago.
Tukur was suspended on Friday, December 12, 2015 for going to court in an attempt to unseat the current chairman, Adamu Mu’azu.
Speaking to Thisday, National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party, Olisah Metuh said the decision taken by the NWC was made public in Yola, the Adamawa State capital during the PDP presidential campaign rally.
Metuh used the opportunity to appreciate Tukur for supporting the President Goodluck Jonathan re-election campaign and mobilising Nigerians in spite of his suspension.
