The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday, January 30, 2015 lifted the suspension of its former National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur after five weeks.
The National leadership of the party has disclosed that Tukur’s suspension was lifted because of his total loyalty to President Goodluck Jonathan and his commitment to the growth and development of PDP.
This was disclosed by the parties National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh during a session with journalists on Friday. Metuh said, “What informed that decision beside the facts that suspensions are for specific periods, 30 days in the first instance which was not renewed, in spite of that we have to make it public, as a mark of honour to the former chairman, where he has displayed undue restrain, respect for constituted authority.
“He has shown loyalty, he has shown his commitment, he has shown his dedication to our party, our programmes, our policies and to the President who is the leader of the party, he has been campaigning and he has shown complete loyalty to Mr President.
