Unknown armed bandits have gruesomely murdered the People’s Democratic Party, PDP chairman and one other middle-aged man in Ebonyi State.
The tragic incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, April 11, 2015.
The two victims were identified as one Mr. Mike Ojor in Ikwo Nnoyo of Ikwo local government area and Mr. Emeka Nworie, the PDP chairman in Ishielu LGA of the state.
Speculations are high that the attack was carried out by thugs allegedly loyal to an opposition political party in the state.
A source told Vanguard that the late PDP chairman was attacked in his house in Ezzagu in Ishielu LGA and shot several times by his assailants.
The state Police spokesman, ASP Chris Anyanwu who confirmed the incident said the assailants demanded some money from the PDP chairman which was given to them, but they went ahead to gun him down.
