A High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday, May 14, 2015 threw out an application filed on behalf of the First Lady-elect, Aisha Buhari attempting to stop the current First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan from holding an emergency meeting with of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM).
Dame Jonathan, who is currently the president of AFLPM is accused of arranging the meeting in order to scuttle Mrs. Buhari’s chances of replacing her as head of the mission, Thisday reports.
The suit was filed on behalf of Mrs. Buhari by Nana Module Onwodi, Ekemma Ugborough Arisa, Louisa Ono Eikhomun and Deborah Oboh.
Making the ruling, Justice Baba-Yusuf,ruled in favour of Dame Jonathan because the two affidavits filed by the plaintiffs were contradictory and incompetent.
