
Similarly, they also nabbed two other suspects both 25 years old, named Samuel Edet and Moses Alibo, who go about stealing people’s motor bikes from Ebonyi state and send them to Cross Rivers state subsequently.
The state police public relations officer, Chris Anyanwu, in a press briefing with journalists in Abakaliki stated that the self-acclaimed pastor from Ohalaekwu Amagu community in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State, was a notorious thief and also specialized in receiving stolen goods from fellow thieves.
“When the police conducted a search of the suspect’s house at Ikwo,13 brands of motorcycles were recovered from him.
Meanwhile, the police also arrested three other suspects whose area of specialty was vandalising electricity installations in different locations in Ebonyi State.
One of the suspects identified as Ifeanyichukwu Okoye who hails from Njikoka local government area of Anambra State, was caught in Nduogbu Ndieze Iboko community in Izzi Local Government Area stealing the transformer feeder pillar, D-fuse high tension down-drop cable and one up-riser cable.
The vigilant groups were said to have caught the two other suspects named Sunday Mathias of Isiekeukwu-Orlu,Imo state and Nwabueze Oriele of Akuna-kuna village,Ikwo local government area, in their bid to vandalise the transformer in Onyikwa,Ndufu-Alike in Ikwo local government area.
While reacting to the developmeent of elecrticity installations vandalism, the Public Relations Officer of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, Mr. Lazarus Onyea-rugbulem, said he was yet to understand what joy people derive in making others uncomfortable.
