OWODE, Nigeria – Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed that God spoke to him about the church’s future, saying that one day, the church’s governing council will hold a meeting on the moon.
The cleric made this statement during the April edition of the Holy Ghost Congress convention, expressing his unwavering faith in God’s promises, which he believes may seem unbelievable but will eventually come to pass.
Adeboye, 83, shared the profound message from God that was given to him despite his humble beginnings, living in a one-room apartment in Mushin, Lagos.
He recalled how God assured him that, one day, he would own a city—a dream he initially shared with his close associates, who, at the time, laughed at the idea.
However, seeing the progress and transformation in his life and ministry, Adeboye is now confident in God’s words.
Reflecting on the celestial vision, Adeboye said, “I am not doubting God; I know with Him all things are possible. But He told me, and I told some of my people, He told me that a day is coming when the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Governing Council wants to hold their meeting, they would hold the meeting on the moon. I know that does not make sense, but then, that is God.”
The RCCG leader emphasized that God’s guidance and instructions are not always logical by human standards, but they hold the key to unimaginable growth and success.
He cited the example of when God told him not to ask for a house but to go ahead and build a city, which at the time seemed outlandish, given his circumstances.
Today, as Adeboye continues to see God’s promises fulfilled, his faith in divine instructions grows stronger.
“When God says we will one day be holding our meetings on the moon, you do not have to believe it, but He has spoken. It is going to come to pass,” Adeboye said confidently, reaffirming his belief that what may appear impossible to human understanding is well within God’s plan and timing.
Adeboye’s faith and visionary leadership have guided RCCG to significant growth, and his declarations continue to inspire millions of believers worldwide to trust in God’s ability to fulfill promises that defy earthly logic.
