The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun state has declared three-day mourning period in honour of the departed chieftains of the party.
This was contained in a statement on Thursday, August 15, 2019, by the party state Secretary, Bola Ajao and obtained by NAN in Osogbo.
According to him, PDP has lost three chieftains with few hours.
“With heavy heart but with total submission to the will of God Almighty in honour and in prayers for the souls of our departed chieftains that have been variously described as ‘many death too many, in a couple of hours.
“It will be recalled that on Sunday the party lost Boluwaduro Local Government PDP Chairman Hon Bade Ogundiran, Hon Edward Keshinro ex Vice Chairman, Ilesa West and just yesterday, Mr. Olaosebikan Jegede, PDP Chairman, Oriade Local Government.
“The State leadership of our great party PDP has declared a 3 day mourning period. This is to honour and offer prayers for our departed colleagues.
“For the 3 days, formal party activities of all sorts are put on hold. It is from God we all came and it is unto Him we shall all return.”
