Labour Party Chieftain Shot And Killed In Osun

OSOGBO – A chieftain of Labour Party, LP, in Osun state, Mr. Tunji Oyelade, died on Friday, March 7, 2014 after being attacked in his house in Inisa, a town in Odo Otin local government area.

It was learnt that suspected assassins laid siege on his residence and attacked him and his wife in their residence. He was shot but allegedly escaped assassination attempt and was rushed to the  Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, where he later died.

Oyelade is reported to have undergone a series of medical procedures to extract bullets from his stomach at LAUTECH, before he finally gave up the ghost on Friday.
