Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke has emerged as the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the July 16 Osun election.
Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the chairman of the Osun PDP primary election, announced that Adeleke polled 1,887 votes to pick the ticket of the party for the governorship poll.
Presenting the PDP Certificate of Return to Adeleke, Ewhrudjakpo noted that 1,916 delegates were accredited while 24 invalid votes were recorded.
As announced, Dele Adeleke, 1; Dotun Babayemi, 0; Akin Ogunbiyi, 0; Fatai Akinbade, 0 and Sanya Omirin, 4; were recorded for the aspirant.
