Victor Osimhen Nears €4m Pay Raise with PSG

Must read

PARIS, France – In a major development in the football transfer market, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is on the brink of securing a substantial pay rise with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

According to reports from Tuttosport, Osimhen has agreed to personal terms with the French champions, signing a five-year contract worth €14 million per season.

This new deal represents a significant increase from his current €10 million annual salary at Napoli.

Roberto Calenda, Osimhen’s agent, recently traveled to Paris to negotiate the terms with PSG officials.

Although the transfer has not yet been finalized with Napoli, it seems increasingly likely that the striker will be heading to the Parc des Princes.

Napoli, now under the guidance of new coach Antonio Conte, is open to selling Osimhen.

However, PSG is currently reluctant to meet the player’s €130 million release clause, instead offering €100 million plus a player to complete the deal.

The potential transfer has generated considerable interest within the football community.

Napoli is already looking at Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as a possible replacement for Osimhen.

The Serie A club is eager to offload players before bringing in new recruits, and completing Osimhen’s sale would facilitate Lukaku’s acquisition.

Despite interest from Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli, Osimhen remains focused on continuing his career in Europe, with the Premier League initially being his preferred destination.

However, the opportunity to join PSG has seemingly shifted his priorities.

During pre-season training with Napoli, Osimhen has maintained a professional attitude despite the ongoing negotiations.

His dedication has impressed Conte, even though the striker does not feature in the coach’s plans for the upcoming season.

Osimhen’s impressive performances for both Napoli and the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, have drawn the attention of top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

The football world eagerly awaits the conclusion of this high-profile transfer saga.
