The ceasefire agreement seems not to be working as some members of the terrorist group,Boko Haram launched yet another attack following an ambush on some Nigerian army troops moving along the Maiduguri-Biu highway and killed one soldier.
This attack was confirmed by a top security personnel who preferred anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue, according to reports.
“Our troops were on their way to Damboa this morning when the insurgents ambushed them. We lost one soldier,” the source said.
There are speculations that it was a revenge attack after their members were killed in an attack on the night of Sunday, October 19, 2014, in Damboa along the Maiduguri-Biu highway in Borno State.
