The court in their verdict had listed Mathebula at the National Sex Offender Registry and declared him unfit to work with children after passing a nine life sentences plus 90 years imprisonment for a total of 315 years to the rapist.
Police investigations revealed that Mathebula approached his victims on the streets of Umzinto, Hibberdene, Dududu, and Msinsi, in the early hours of the day and dragged them to the nearby fields, where he raped and assaulted them.
It was also revealed by investigators that some victims reported that a second man accompanied the suspect who the police is yet to identify.
