Olisa Metuh, former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who was ordered by Okon Abang, the trial judge in his alleged N400 million case, to be brought to court on a stretcher or risk going to jail slipped into a coma in the early hours of Wednesday, February, 2018, at an undisclosed hospital where his condition is been managed.
According to sources with intimate knowledge of Metuh’s condition, his conditions continues to worsen and his family are distraught about the entire saga.
Onyechi Ikpeazu, his counsel, had earlier presented to the court a medical report stating his client’s medical situation and predicament.
He also prayed for a leave from the court, for his client to travel abroad to seek adequate medical attention abroad, a request which was refused by the Justice Okon Abang of High Court 9, Abuja.
