Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 paid a visit to his former military colleague and Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, who had just returned from a medical treatment in Germany.
Obasanjo was in Minna to visit Babangida, while Atiku, who had also visited the former military president, was within the state to attend the Presidential declaration of Sam Nda-Isaiah of All Progressives Congress, APC.
General Olusegun Obasanjo, however, met with his Vice, Atiku Abubakar, at Minna International Airport, where the two leaders buried their political differences and hugged each other.
Atiku Abubakar, who was reportedly seated as he awaits clearance for his flight, had to stop the pilot, got down from the plane and headed straight for the waiting car to ferry Obasanjo out of the airport, where the two leaders met and hugged each other.
At IBB’s residence in Minna, the press were restricted from entering the building but a source briefed our correspondent that Obasanjo only came on a solidarity visit to IBB.
The two leaders met and discussed for about half an hour before Obasanjo headed for the airport.
