Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has appealed an order by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to confiscate his recently launched book, My Watch.
Obasanjo filed the appeal through his legal team, headed by Gboyega Oyewole, claiming 10 grounds on which the trial judge had erred in his judgement.
He also described as misleading reports making the rounds that he intended to “dareconfront a judge or the judiciary”.
According to Oyewole, one of the grounds of Obasanjo’s appeal was that: “the learned Trial Judge erred in law when he granted Interlocutory Orders of Injunction which inter alia restrained the Defendant from the publication of his book “My Watch” or the content of the letter to the President which is the subject of the suit before the trial judge in the said book “My Watch.”
